City of Hillview Emergency Response Team "H.E.R.T."
Mission Statement: To provide area residents and first responders a quality resource for safety
education, hazard mitigation, emergency response assistance, and other volunteer efforts.
The Hillview
Emergency Team is a non-political, non-profit, educational and publicly supported, all volunteer group trained in community
emergency response to respond after a major event or disaster until first responders arrive. Our goal is to do the greatest
good for the greatest number of citizens.
The team priorities should be include:
1. Serving as
a liaison for public relations between emergency services personnel and the community offering a presence for "comfort-support"
and/or manpower for on scene assistance as prescribed by joint sessions of training and pre-planning.
2.
Should engage in fundraising activities to ensure appropriate supplies are on hand to meet the needs of the team (food, water,
equipment and transport).
3. Plan to participate in community events to provide education and/or speakers
for presentations for business revues and instruction among civic organizations.

Regular HERT meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and
4th Tuesday's of every month, starting at 6:30pm.
